UPDATE: Monday night’s film has been rescheduled due to high winds.
Beauty and the Beast will be the first of eight films to be shown for free on the beach at W. 12 St. this summer by the Alliance for Coney Island and Amazon Studios.
The film is a part of the “Flicks on the Beach” series, which features a variety of different kinds of films — from classics to recent releases — so there should be something for everyone.
The films start at 7 p.m. and display on a large, 40-foot screen.
According to the Alliance for Coney Island, the local Starbucks will be distributing free samples of its cold brew coffee from 5-9 p.m. — just in time to grab a cup before you head to the beach for the movie.
In case you can’t make it this week, “Landline” will be next week’s film. See the full schedule of summer flicks here.
