There are two different community meetings being held in Coney Island on Wednesday. Both of them overlap in start time.

The Coney Island Anti-Violence Collaborative will meet at Liberation Diploma High School at 2865 West 19th Street from 5:30-8 p.m.

The Anti-Violence Collaborative meets monthly to “gather ideas from the community, develop plans for collective action, and share information from elected officials, the local precinct, and organizations serving the community under the Mayor’s Initiative to Reduce Gun Violence,” according to the organization’s website. The meeting is open to the public.

There will also be a Neighborhood Safety meeting at Carey Gardens Community Center (2315 Surf Ave.) at 6 p.m.
