Mayor Bill de Blasio will be participating in a town hall with local elected officials on Thursday, August 24, at the Coney Island YMCA.

Councilmember Mark Treyger, who is hosting the event, will be accompanied by Brooklyn borough president Eric L. Adams, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, State Sen. Diane J. Savino, and Assemblymember Pam Harris. The town hall begins at 7 p.m.

Local residents are free to attend and discuss issues facing the community. Although the deadline to RSVP was August 21, the event was not yet at full capacity as of Tuesday afternoon and registration remains open, according to Councilmember Treyger’s office.

Those who wish to attend can send an e-mail to townhallrsvp@cityhall.nyc.gov or call the councilmember’s office directly at  718-373-9673 or 718-307-7151. People can arrive as early as 6 p.m. and doors will close at 7:30 p.m.

Community Board 13, the NYPD’s 60th Precinct, the Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island, and Operation H.O.O.D. (Helping Our Own Development) are sponsoring the event.

The YMCA is located at 2980 W. 29th St. between Surf and Mermaid Ave.
