Ford Amphitheater in September: Sean Paul, Daddy Yankee, and more

Beaches will be closing in September, but the music will go on. Here is a full list of the events coming up in the month of September at the Ford Amphitheater.

Hot 97’s On Da Reggae and Soca Tip 2017

When: September 1

Check out live performances by Sean Paul, Busy Signal, Bunji Garlin, Charly Black, Kranium, Konshens, Kevin Lyttle, and Rupee.

The 2nd Annual Coney Island Freestyle Funhouse

When: September 2

TKA, Judy Torres, George Lamond, Cynthia, Sa-Fire, Rob Base, Coro, Sweet Sensation, Black Sheep, Lisette Melendez, Soul Sonic Force, David (of Nice N Wild), Alisha, Fascination, Joe Zangie will highlight this second annual Labor Day weekned event in Coney Island. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the show begins at 6 p.m.

El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico

When: September 3

El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and special gust Luis Damon will perform at the amphitheater a day after the Freestyle Funhouse to cap off the Labor Day weekend festivities.

IABS Charities Presents: The Great Irish Fair of New York

When: September 16

This family-friendly celebration highlights Irish-American heritage and culture with Irish bands, food, dancing, children’s activities, and attractions. The Brooklyn Bands, Andy Cooney, Derek Warfield & Unforgettable Fire are among those performing.

Daddy Yankee

When: September 21

Daddy Yankee is coming to Coney Island to perform, but it’s on a Thursday night — so plan accordingly if you wish to attend.

The Disco Biscuits Present: City Bisco

When: September 22 and 23

The Disco Biscuits are returning to the city for a second straight year. They will also be performing at Irving Plaza on September 20 and 21, but that will be during the week. You can see them right in Coney Island on Friday and Saturday.

Thievery Corporation

When: Saturday September 30

The Washington, D.C.-based Thievery Corporation will perform over the weekend in late September. Earlier this year they released the latest song from their album “The Temple of I & I.
