Registration for free high school equivalency classes will take place on Wednesday, September 20 at O’Dwyer Community Center at 2945 W. 33rd St.
Students will have an opportunity to earn their equivalency diploma via Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), formerly known as a GED. Students will have access to services ranging from resume and interview prep to assistance finding employment.
TASC is free to all New York State residents and covers math, reading, writing, science and social studies. It is offered in both English and Spanish.
Registration will begin 10 a.m. and will require three hours of placement testing and paperwork. A valid NYS ID is required. Auxiliary aids and services will be available upon request to people with disabilities.
