A woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed a woman to death at 2007 Surf Avenue in Coney Island on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

Cops said 40-year-old Latrisha Moore, who also lived at 2007 Surf Ave. on the same floor of the alleged murder, fatally stabbed 31-year-old Shymeka Tart in the chest after an apparent altercation took a turn for the worse.

She was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, according to police, who said they responded to a 911 call shortly after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and found Tart bleeding from a stab wound at the apartment building, which is located near MCU Park.

EMS rushed her to Coney Island Hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police sources told DNAinfo that the stabbing occurred after an argument between two teenaged boys escalated into a deadly fight between their mothers.

Moore was immediately taken into custody following the stabbing, but was not formally charged until Friday.
