A holiday project started in the midst of Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts is returning for the fourth year in a row — and the organizers are looking for helpers to deliver toys.

The Secret Sandy Claus Project, in conjunction with the city’s Marines Toys for Tots organization, gathers thousands of toys and delivers them to the homes of children affected by Sandy, cancer, poverty, disabilities, and domestic violence.

The organizers recruit volunteers who dress up as Santa and Elves and bring the toys directly to the kids’ homes.

Registration is available for all kids (ages 0-14) in need around the five boroughs. Those who wish to sign up can do so before midnight on Thanksgiving.

Those who wish to volunteer as Santa or an Elf, or who wish to host a toy drive, can sign up here. To donate, click here.
