Two businesses were destroyed and six people were injured in an early-morning fire on Saturday two blocks west of the Coney Island-Stillwell Ave. subway station, according to the FDNY.

The fire ripped through the Rotisserie and Grill at 1525 Mermaid Ave. and Mini Market Fruits at 1527 Mermaid Ave. More than 110 firefighters were required to put out the fire and EMS units had to transport the six injured people to the hospital with minor injuries.

Following the fire, the Department of Buildings inspected both businesses and determined that the properties had been so heavily damaged that they required full vacate orders.

The cause of the two-alarm fire is currently unknown and an investigation is underway.
