The New York Cosmos are keeping the people of Puerto Rico in mind with a planned fundraiser set for Saturday night’s win-and-in playoff clincher against Puerto Rico FC at MCU Park.

The Cosmos will donate 50 percent of the proceeds from the game — their final home matchup of the regular season slate — to the Carmelo Anthony Puerto Rico Relief Fund. Fans can donate by using the promo code PUERTORICO when purchasing tickets. The match will begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s match was originally scheduled to be played in Puerto Rico but was shifted to MCU Park as Puerto Rico continues to recover from the effects of hurricanes.

The Cosmos have not lost a match since they were shut out by the NCFC on Sept. 23. On Sunday, the Cosmos tied Jacksonville Armada 4-4 following a 4-1 win over Puerto Rico FC on Oct. 18. The Cosmos are in fourth place in the NASL standings and two points ahead of Jacksonville.

The first 2,500 fans to enter the stadium on Saturday will receive an armband honoring captain Carlos Mendes, who will play his final regular season home game.
