Who doesn’t love birthdays?

Coney Island USA is celebrating the 100th birthday of its landmarked building at 1208 Surf Ave. by holding a Fall Gala at that location on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.

“Since 1917, a variety of well-known and often infamous attractions have called 1208 Surf home,” the event poster reads. “Through every incarnation, the building remained a place where visitors from all walks of life were welcome.”

Tickets for the event, which will begin with hors d’oeurves, music, drinks, and “surprises,” are $100. At 8:30 p.m., Coney Island USA Founder Dick Zigun will hold a special illustrated presentation on the history of the building, and at 10 p.m., Adam Realman will host “A Grand All Star Variety Show Salute” to the building’s history.

There will also be tarot readings, a Live Demonstration by Denny Daniel and The Museum of Interesting Things, an open bar, a birthday cake, and more.

According to Zigun, the $100 ticket is partly tax-deductible.
