Hiring events in Coney Island slated for Thursday, November 30

Looking for a job? A series of employment-related events will take place in Coney Island on Thursday, November 30.

Rebuilding Together NYC’s Workforce Training Program is offering a Workforce Training Program for those who seek work in the construction field. Six weeks of training, work equipment, and a $1,000 stipend are included in the program.

The last chance to apply for the December 2017 class is at 5 p.m. on November 30 at the Coney Island Library (second floor). To apply, attendees will need to provide proof of citizenship, address, and income for the head of household (pay stub, benefits letter, unemployment, or tax return are acceptable).

Plus, a separate community hiring event on the same day will take place at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the same library.

Job opportunities range from call center representative to case manager, stock worker, security officer, and more. The companies in attendance include Five Guys, Aldi, NetCost Market, and Carl’s Jr., which is opening a new Coney Island location soon.

The Brooklyn Public Library’s Coney Island branch is partnering with The Sandy Recovery Workforce1 Career Center to host the event.

Attendees are encouraged to bring two copies of their resume.
